Why do I need a website?

In today’s world, an artist needs a website as much as he or she needs to have art supplies. It is a basic necessity, not a luxury item. Not having a website is like not having a telephone number.

You need a website for the simple ease of showing your art to people in your own hometown as well as to the rest of the world. Let’s say you invite someone to see your art in your studio, if your art studio looks like mine it’s not that easy to find the right piece of art quickly and efficiently. By the time you drag every piece out, your clients are getting impatient. With a website, your clients will most likely have narrowed the choices down to a few select pieces, and you can be ready for the presentation. You can also allow your clients to browse your website right there in the studio while you pull the needed pieces out of their hiding places.

You need a website to sell your art to people who are not located near your art studio. I've been shipping art internationally for many years and it's very easy, so don't limit yourself.

If you think your art doesn’t show well in pictures, then you need better pictures – it’s the only way you will truly become a professional in the world of art.
